Back when i was a recruiter it seemed like everyone i ran into was a greern beret, ranger, sniper, seal etc. It made me wonder if there wasnt any cooks, truck drivers, in the military back in the day. For those who boast about their actions, i have a great site that has about every lie that could possibly be told. I am not calling anyone a liar, but it is best to take most stories with a grain of salt

Sometime back it was requested that we lay off you eventhough you threatened the lives several AR members and told me a graphic story about putting a knife in someone and watching the lights go out in their eys as the shit ran down their leg. Lovely!

As I could have predicted your recent rant(s) about MS have quickly degenerated into you telling everyone what a great warrior you were. Well as a veteran myself I need to tell you that you do not make me proud. I knew some real heroes and not one bragged about his service. In fact most once out of theater had some serious reflection on what they had done.

As for you or I protecting anyone's freedom that's pretty much BS as Vietnam basically got 50,000 of the best the US had killed an accomplished nothing. If you remember we lost the war. It was my generation's war and all it makes me feel these days is very sad. For you to brag about your role in what historically may be one of the US's greastest mistakes makes me more than a little nauseated.

Mark

Excellent post Mark! Speaking as a fellow veteran, he makes me sick and, in my opinion, is an embarrassment to us all.

I used to give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume he was just a loudmouthed drunk with self image problems, but now I think he really has a couple of screws loose. I put him on ignore so he could not send me any of the thinly veiled threats of violence he has sent to other members.

For those of you who have any doubt about the character of that idiot ISS, read the above two posts from two gentlemen who were also "there".

Yeah, well said Mark. No offense to anyone, but here in Zim we say there are 2 kinds of scouts - Selous scouts and saloon scouts. As soon as a guy starts shooting his mouth off in the bar about how many gooks he killed , I know he is talking dung. I know enough real soldiers and it's easy to identify them too - they hardly ever speak about the war and when they do, they tell lighthearted tales. It's fairly close to home for me - all the older generation members of my family were actively involved in a terrible war that saw a great many people killed. All I know of what any of those family members did (insofar as action is concerned) was gleaned from books. They just don't talk about it.

Cheers, Dave

I hope the "babby killers" comment was a piss poor attempt at humor. If it wasn't: What a horse's ass!!! I've treated enough vets in my practice and in the VA during my residency to have the most fowl contempt for any of the "babby killer" anti war crowd!!! You make me sick! I treated one Veitnam vet in the VA who related a true story to me about his "home coming". Not long after getting back he was at a bar having a beer. A group of anti war loosers found out he had just returned from Vietnam. He decided he better get out of there as the atmosphere had turned hostile. The group of 6-8-10 (I forget) followed him out to the parking lot. A fight broke out. He was loosing but holding his own until one of them pulled a knife and stabbed him in the spine. He dropped like a rock and they left him for dead. MONTHS later he had learned to walk again after doctors told him he wouldn't. He is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Not a boisterous tough guy looking for a fight. He didn't run around with a chip on his shoulder either telling everyone about his raw deal. I found out about his story from another physician and asked him to relay the story to me. "Babby Killers"????? Really? What a piece of shit you are!

Of course you'll drop it (for now) ISS as that's THE only move you have. I didn't think you would be posting a copy of your DD Form 214.....

I'll drop it as well, as it's quite evident that our PX soldier ISS has absolutely no credibility.

ISS,
I hope you realize ForrestB was just saying that to bust your ass. Forrest was 9 years old in 69 - and most definately did not go to UT. And if he had not been banned for posting the pic of the half naked red neck he would be telling you this hinself.

And for the record: there is not a person alive who has done more to support the troops than Forrest. He and his family spoiled my entire platoon rotten clear through my last 2 deployments. I have never met a man who has as much appreciation or concern for the troops.

If that is so then I think it's ridiculous. Akin to being suspended from boarding school for smoking in the bogs. The difference being that smoking in the bogs was against the rules. How can posting that picture be against the rules? It was a harmless act. I for one thought it was hilarious. Can't we lighten up a little?

If the pic was so offensive why has it not been deleted?

ForrestB and blackbearhunter were playing silly buggers with Walter on his forum.

Members there have been posting almost naked pictures of what they claim to be their wives.

He had asked them to stop.

Some did not, so the only way he can get back at them is to ban them.

I had a word with him, and we agreed it is only going to be for a week.

There is absolutely no reason to post photos of half naked women on a hunting site.

Walter has been asking these guys to stop for a very long time.

I know they think it is a game.
Sadly, some of us don't agree with that. And I agree with Walter.

you only made the grade that you were capable of.
The more specialised covert units in operation in Vietnam, would have ignored you on physiological weakness grounds.

Grade is a relative thing, an aquantance of mine was field team leader in an global anti terrorist/hostage retrieval team, he formed his team by selecting & help train elite individuals from the various special forces type/anti terrorist type units from all over the world, the only two he had to dismiss were two Green Berets who could not carry out certain orders when instructed to. They were dismissed purely cause they proved a dangerous weakness in the high level team, he did not personally condemn them.
To give you an idea of the level of clearance this small team had, they could board an US warship or Sub, and instruct the captain to change course to a different part of the world.

I guess you are too fugly to post a picture. Trolls thrive in anonymity, mr nobody from nowhere.

I keep thinking you are going to show me up by posting some of your game from your numerous African safaris. But, to do that, you would have to be on work release and be able to leave the city limits.

ForrestB has a "dry" sense of humor, but he is about as patriotic as they come. For over a year he had me convinced that he was a bleeding liberal democrat and there isn't anything wrong with that, except I don't like them.

"The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities." - Ayn Rand

Cogito ergo venor- KPete

“It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own self-interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages.”
― Adam Smith - “Wealth of Nations”
