Tried this in the travel section and didn't get any response. I have talked with Emirates and understand the forms needed for transit through Dubai with firearms but did not get a comfortably satisfactory answer about what happens if Joyce and I want to spend a few days in Dubai sightseeing.

Has anyone here actually done that while traveling with firearms through Dubai? Was the process any different? Did the Customs folks store the gun cases?

Any helpful information would be appreciated.
