So, if I want to hunt a lion in the Save, I can fill this out, wait for an approval, then go hunt? Seems somewhat straightforward or am I missing something? | |||

Through the Director’s Order, the Service is redoubling its efforts to ensure that the world’s rarest species are protected from those who violate wildlife laws. The Service has the authority to deny future permit applications for activities such as sport-hunted trophy imports to anyone who has previously been convicted of or pled guilty to violations of wildlife laws. Still a lot of unknowns...do you apply for a permit, wait until you get it, then book a hunt? It might be a good idea for us to keep track of issues/denials. | |||

This is definitely different in the sense that you won't want to wait until the animal is in the salt to apply, which is what I've generally done with leopard and elephant in the past. | |||
