Yes. Depending upon which Officer you encounter, any little thing that is left out opens the door for....well, let's just say they can fix your problem for say, $200? Don't risk it. LDK

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

L. David Keith has a point. You will have your actual passport with you at that time. Any member of the SAPS has to act as a "Notary Public" (?) in thet he has to endorse a copy of any given as an original. I hav epersonally gone to my nearest SPS station with some original and a copy thereof and asked them to verify the authenticity thereof. The then put a big "Tjap" [only Afrikaans speakers will really understand this term! Big Grin] on it, fill in some details and sign it. Now I have N-E-V-E-R paid a sent for that service, and you should also not have to pay! But as L. David Keith says, it may actually cost you money. Please REFUSE to pay for services that is supposed to be free! You just ruin the system for everyone! Not a single one of my hunting clients have ever paid a single sent for getting their SAPS 520 filled in and issued!

In good hunting.

After a few years of participation on forums, I have learned that:

One can cure:

Lack of knowledge – by instruction. Lack of skills – by practice. Lack of experience – by time doing it.

One cannot cure:

Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules!

My very long ago ancestors needed and loved to eat meat. Today I still hunt!

I have it notarized by my secretary before I leave, as are all of the other pages, just to avoid any delay or other problem. One thing that I have learned with SAPS is to do everything that they require, and then if it's not needed you do not worry about it. Otherwise you are just asking for some sort of trouble or problem. One other thing: make at least one copy of everything and keep with you!
