I was able to take a good Steenbok in South Africa week before last. I would like to do him in a full mount. Could those of you that have done a full mount please provide some samples so I can tell my taxidermist what I want. Thanks..

Nice Steenbok 300magnum. Looks like he has good mass too. I would suggest you take a look at your Taxidermists supply catalogs. Several supply companies carry lifesize Steenbok forms and usually have a pic of one or more mounted examples. Another option is to look on the Internet under African Taxidermists. You should get a number of good mounts to view.
Good hunting,
David

Congrats on a very nice steenbuck! Good length AND horntips blunt with wear! A fine trophy indeed. It deserves some money spent on it for a full mount!

I don't have any close ups, but here is a group shot of my animals.

Congrats on your steenbok.

Mink and Wall Tents don't go together. Especially when you are sleeping in the Wall Tent.

That's a very nice Steenbok!

Here's a picture of a live Steenbok. Take a real good look at the nose. That's a detail that gets missed too often. (Waterbuck noses get abused frequently as well.)

BTW, Vapodog that's an excellent Duiker!
