Cape Buffalo Hunt

Hi all,

I am looking for a Cape Buffalo hunt for next year that my hunting partner could also come and hunt only plains game. I've hunted in Tanzania in the Kilombero before and it was remote with no vehicles - loved it. I would prefer an all inclusive package for the Buff - hunt & trophy fee. Any reasonably priced recommendations would be appreciated.

Save in Zim. Contact Charlton McCallum Safaris, www.cmsafaris.com. Buzz and Myles now control Hammond in the Save. Good buffalo and lots of plains game.

TJVCT,

I agree with Mike and David. The Save is probably one of the very best options in Zimbabwe for your needs particularly if PG is important.

Kevin Thomas Safaris is pleased to be able to offer their clients the opportunity to hunt trophy Buffalo in one of Zimbabwe’s finest concessions.

This one million acre concession situated in the south east of Zimbabwe, and close to the northern border of South Africa, is one of the best managed wildlife areas in southern Africa, and is home to a host of species which occur in large numbers, in addition to the Big Five.

Herds of buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and eland are to be found as well as sable, tsessebe, kudu, waterbuck, impala and warthog. The area is renowned for its leopard population, and lion prides regularly wander through the camps at night.

I agree 100% with Mike Jines and Dave Hulme.
I just got back from Hammond last week ( hunt report to come shortly)
Large numbers of buff including some monsters and more plains game than I have ever seen in an open area.
Great luxurious camp and outstanding outfitter.
Your comment about all inclusive price concerns me. Don't be tempted to go by price. In Africa you invariably get what you pay for and as these trips are usually special lifetime events you need to get it right.
Regards
Rob

I hunted Hammond in 09 & 10. It is an incredible place. Lots of buff. I have shot lion, buff and misc plains game. For example, kudu of 60 & 58.

I will be hunting the bordering property in October.

Brother Shores speaks the truth.

In two trips (21 days total) to Hammond / ARDA we pulled out six buffalo, 58 inch kudu, leopard, wildebeest, duiker, bushpig, a few zebra and impala.

If you are interested in Hammond, I made DVD's there in 09 & 10. I will be happy to send you copies if you wish. They will give you an idea.

Luangwa Valley in Zambia is another option and you get options on rarities such as Cookson's Wildebeest and Puku. Hippo and Croc abound in the river.

Take a look at Wildcat Safaris in Zambia with Mike Heath. Luangwa Valley is excellent.
