- A really cool magnetic system for using your phone to take pictures thru a spotting scope or binoculars
- Awesome leather jacket from Alan Micheal and ordered a leather croc vest from him
- Of course a couple of boxes of Barnes TXS bullets
- Kuiu Super Down Pro jacket and pants
- Pair of Kenetrek hiking boots
- A Silver & gold money clip from Clint Orms matching mine (except his initials) for my son for his 32nd birthday

Confirmed dates/particulars on triple Buffalo hunt in Moz, elephant hunt in Nyae Nyae, and tuskless at Mokore. Got several boxes of Barnes TSX (!), poor mistreated wife got very, very nice tanzanite earrings from Baranoff. Also bought (more like paid for) two suppressors from Silencer Central. Got dates from Alan Vincent that I’m trying to work around for double Buffalo in TZ.

I "paid for" two of those suppressors with SC last year in Vegas - still waiting :-)

Wife got a pair of Schnee’s mountain boots.

I got a pair of Schenee’s pack boots.

We booked a return to Austria for Ref Stag. 4 nights in a ski village at the alps and 3 nights in Vienna. September 18-25 if this year.

Contacted with Gracy Travel. If they do what they say, it will be the best money spent.

We're all waiting whether you ordered at SCI or not. I ordered mine at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Christmas expo during Cowboy Christmas here in Vegas. It's the feds not SCI or any of the other shows. Likely 10 month or longer wait once it's been submitted to BATF. Big Grin

Kulu coat and pants for my grandson.
Cookbook for my wife.
Freedom Arms .44 Mag revolver for myself (one & a half year wait though).
A few boxes of Barnes bullets.
Maybe a moose & mule deer hunt in British Columbia - waiting to see what my hunting buddy thinks.
Really enjoyed the show, but I think I like DSC show better.

What sucks about the wait is that if you ”purchase” the newest and best at the time, it will be surpassed in technology, or the cost will be less, once you can actually possess your suppressor.

Took me 16 months to get my one suppressor from them but I was one of their last paper filing clients. I was told now with Efile it's only 3 months. I look forward to your results.

I firmed up details of 2 hunts I have booked with Alan Vincent. This August in Selous and next February in Cameroon.

Also talked myself into a Sitatunga hunt with Johnny DuPlooy in Tondwa for 2024.

Bought 3 boxes of Swift A frames and one of TSX’s for a 375 H&H I just got.

Silencer Central guy said expect 8-9 month wait. Said BATF had only 7 examiners working applications until recently, but have hired more to a total of about 40, huge backlog to work thru, though. We’ll see.

Hopefully that means those of us already over a year are coming due :-)

Our government wants the $200 (really $204, I think) “tax” to enable us to possess a suppressor.

I know a couple of guys that might make their own, and one can buy “fuel filter kits” on the internet that just happen to be available with adapters that will fit common barrel threads. I’ve heard the kits work very well.

Purchased a Banish-30 suppressor from Silencer Central.

Confirmed details for our upcoming elephant hunt with both Mbalabala Safaris as well as our booking agent and travel agent. The whole TWG departure of Patrick is a mess, we will likely not be using them going forward.

Met with Alaska Raven Guides to discuss our 2024 black bear hunt.

Made some cursory inquiries about a 2025 buff/leopard hunt. Not 100% sure on what we're exactly looking to do there yet, will likely book something next year for 2025.

My wife got me a nice Arno Bernard knife from African Sporting Creations for an early birthday present.

Some miscellaneous clothing from Tag and Boyt.

I wanted to grab a pair of Courteney Selous boots with the cleat sole, but none were available in that configuration and I couldn't get them ordered in before we leave in late April for Zim, so my Courtney Safari's get the nod again for this trip.

So much to do and see. I felt this show was a bit transformational for me now that I'm actually talking to outfitters about upcoming hunts rather than just walking around in awe by the whole show.

If you weren’t aware, Patrick has formed his own company, we have used him on two upcoming hunts with good results.

My wife and I worked on details for our July Zambia trip and booked a 2024 hunt to return to Zim with our two boys (first time for them).

Great show - much improved over Vegas. Every vendor I talked to said it was their best show in over a decade.

Thanks, Karl. I did see the post regarding that and spoke with Patrick at the show. He’s helping us out with some of the details.

I haven't booked anything...yet. Part of it will depend on whether my brother-in-law is on-board for a trip. Talked to a lot of outfitters in the Eastern Cape as well as Limpopo for plains game.

I bought a pair of canvas gaiters from Boyt as they had them in stock again, a Boyt all-cotton shirt from SCI for cheap, and a couple of books. One was Sue Tidwell's Cry of the Savannah and the other was Boddington's Safari Rifles II. Both were signed by the authors.

Having attended SCI last year in Las Vegas, I like the Nashville location much better. It was drivable for us and the savings on travel will pay trophy fees on one or two animals.

for anyone who buys a suppressor from Silence Central at these shows they sell so many that it takes a few months to do the paperwork and then get you one the phone with the ATF before they can send your paper work in. so you should count on a year. and if they said 90 days to receive it I will be happy to sell you ocean front land in Arizona. haha

I bought two at SCI, one .22 LR and one .45 cal. They were upfront regarding time frames, saying it is currently taking 8-9 months for delivery, but also said that ATF has hired more examiners, so times might be shortened. I have my phone calls scheduled back to back this coming Monday. We’ll see how it goes.
However, a good friend bought 3 suppressors from them at 2022 SCI convention and as of last weekend he still had not received them.

My problem with them is that it took from approx Nov 15th (ATF approval date) until 30 Jan for them to ship my suppressor. They had lots of excuses. Buddy bought one in Apr from LGS, received it in Oct.
