Usually by glassing from a likely promontory mornings and evenngs then trying to get in position for a shot. While most are taken incidentally to hunting other species ( a target of opportunity) this one was the only species hunted. The man only had a license for Giant Forest Hog. "Love those bags under the eyes, " I didn't notice thsoe guys having bags under their eyes  Oh, you mean the hog. Those are actually a very pronounced zygomatic arch (bone). That thing looks as big as a buffalo! My reference (Collins Field Guide) indicates that giant forest hogs can weigh up to 500 lbs. This one looks every ounce of that, if not more.
