Curious...So what are some of the BETTER TV HUNTING SHOWS out there today?

African Safari?
Whitetails?
NA Big Game?
Bowhunting?

I have NO clue as I don't have the Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, etc.

We [TrophyShotPrints.com] have been recently approached by a small handful in the past month.

Your replies/advice would be greatly appreciated here or PM me to avoid the trolls rotflmo

Aloha gang!

Even with Steve Rinella's comments that he put on his website about Elephant and Lion hunting.

I was never a trophy hunter early on and didn't start with any taxidermy until a Brown Bear in 2000 and later with the first trip to Africa.

His mostly DIY kill it and use it theme to his show still connects with me.

Cheers
Jim

That is about it in my view. I think they have at least three times the number of whitetail bow hunting shows they need. And then there are the Cleavis Gotta Camera shows that the world would be better without too.

... I think Ivan Carters TV shows are the best, because he is the most realistic actor and he has an great knowledge of outdoor, nature and hunting.

Agreed. I would add Shockey's Hunting Adventures and Rugged Expeditions to the list. Alain is kind of different but he hunts some really great locations...

Roland,

You can buy a lot of shows on DVD, or at least I think you can with TAA and other SC productions.

I confess to not watching all that many of them. But I like Shockey and Boddington and Carter too.

I liked the early Buckmasters shows and the early Duck Commander shows. Not as elegant as todays shows but they were more like just hunting.

Dude!! You need to unplug and get outside.

I don't live in Alaska, it's too durn hot here in La. to spend too much time outside.
Besides, I'm short, fat & lazy.

Sports Afield is the only one I have seen in recent times that I thought was worth a hoot. Good quality and good hunts, at least the episodes I have seen.

I have seen a few episodes of Magnum Tv and the older Shockey shows when traveling, some were good and some not so much.

To me hunting is not hollywood and so I believe it should be depicted accurately. It is not something that falls into the creative licence category. It is not a spectator sport and not reality TV program.

Another poster mentioned this in another thread and he was right as far as I am concerned.

I really think it is not okay to depict whatever and do whatever just because it is TV and they are acting…………….. this is not the subject matter for it.

That is. Why I have an issue with provider not putting there what is it about

We only get the Outdoor Channel here, and frankly, every time I sat to watch it, they had some idiot trying to over do his idiocy in pretending to be a hunter!

Especially those bow hunting shows.
