Do you guys read Saeed's anti-American posts on the political threads? Extremely critical and no respect towards our country (even though we bailed his ass out of a jam in the early '90s and it is our (western) money that allows him his life of luxury.

I don't come to a hunting forum to read political opinions, even from the host.

Saeed was extremely gracious and hospitable to Joyce and me during our visit to Dubai. Maybe he doesn't look at Alaskans as Americans or perhaps his view of our country does not include its people. I now enough Americans that aren't very happy with their own government.

Exactly! It never ceases to amaze me that people actually do this. I've been a member for over 11 years, and don't believe I have ever been in the political forum.

If you can't tell when he's yanking your chain, you need to lighten up a bit, just like most of the conservative types say things that (I hope) are a bit hyperbolic just to get a reaction.

If you read most of what he says, I think he is more surprised by how much the country has changed since he went to school here.

The POLITICAL FORUM is what one might call the TOILET of the AR.

Every home has a toilet, and AR has the Political Forum.

And we all know what happens when one goes there.

Many times I have posted that anyone who believes what is said in that forum is an idiot.

One of our members complained that he was not allowed in that forum.

I was writing of your many anti American posts. I said nothing of Mark. I know he eats at you and it must be very difficult for you to live with this negative obsession of him. I didn't bring him up--you did, again (and again and again). I think it will be easier for you when you realize and accept the fact you are not Mark and can't ever be him. Good therapy can help you through this. Maybe a prescription medication. Whatever you do, I hope it works for you as you must let him go.

When you are ready we can discuss your anti American posts. We do have our faults here in the good old USA and we have made our errors in our history. But, we have done more good than ill in world events and have contributed more to the good of the world that any other country. I see many from around the world want to move here--legally or not. I don't see many beating down the doors of your country trying to get in. Why? You have a good life of luxury with your wealth but remember this, you people didn't know ice water nor toilet paper until western (read: American) money and technology drilled for, and bought, your oil.

How about if you drop the MS issue and write and equal number of posts of how good the US is and how it saved your part of the world under Bush I? And also spend an equal amount of time using your energy to combat the anti hunters and all the harm they do. And, if Iran comes knocking on your door you will either come to us for help or use our technology for your defense.

Or, better yet, let's compare countries. I will begin with Ford, Rockefeller, Hughes, Lincoln, Jefferson, Vanderbilt, Winchester, Mellon, Carnegie, Morgan, walking on the moon, winning a couple of World Wars, Bill of Rights, etc., for starters.

This forum is the best forum as it is. More knowledge is being shared between us than any of the biggest gunwriters could ever get around to.
I see us a one big family in the end.

AR outstrips other sites in having less teenage boys with their infantile high school level conversations.

I appreciate that sort of thing being restricted to one forum, instead of polluting the entire site.

The men and ladies here have taught me so much and freely given expertise not available to me anywhere else.

For the last 10 years I have been on AR several times every day. I have spent hundreds of hours here. Al thanks to Saeed. Not only has he hosted this site in the best possible manner he has also been so generous that he has sent me videos of his hunts for may years.
