Guys check this video:

An ele charge I had last month. Got caught between two herds and this one came close.

What do you think? Should I have dropped it before it got that close?

You did great...having the vehicle between you and the ele made the difference...I think the ladies were well versed keeping the vehicle in between.

On my elephant hunt last year with PH Len Taylor one bull got wayy closer than that, and there was nothing inbetween us. Len did not shoot, I asaked him when he would have shot and he said when the elephant touches the barrel. It was quite the exciement, our trusy game scout was the first to leave us.

Looked good to me Thor. I noticed you kept checking to your right, is that where the other eles were? How many and how far were they?
How did the young ladies react during and after this encounter? Quite a story they have to tell!
I'm looking forward to hunting with you, see you in a week!

I have a feeling he was looking and making sure no one was running away. An invite for the bull to come after.

+1 for professional restraint! We had a plume of dirt/dust blown at us last month in Zim., no full charge, thankfully. Kinda like an 19 yr. old boy showing just how tough he is, except the difference being several thousand pounds!
