At 13 1/5 inches this is likely a new # 1.

This GFH was taken in early March this year in Odo Bulu. A concession run by Ethiopian Rift Valley Safaris in the Bale Mts of Ethiopia.
Jason Roussos was the PH and it was shot by Malcolm King (England). For taxidermy purposes they took some body measurements. From the tip of the nose to the base of the tail was 6ft on the button. We guess the body weight at 550 lbs.

Spectacular!

Looks like it was a challenging hunt too, judging from the terrain.

Straight out of Star Trek!

What a great hog, although if that thing came back as a full body mount to my house, I think I'd be single pretty bloody quickly.

Wow! Fantastic! I would have to agree, though, that a full body mount would lead to new domestic arrangements for me as well.

I am an African swine enthusiast and have had awesome warthog luck but the other 3 have eluded me.

I would really like to get a sense of the size of these beasts. The trophy photos always seem to distort things.

Very, very nice!

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.
