Cabelas has a picture of a golden gemsbok in it's spring catalog. Where can the golden variety be found/hunted?

Yo! I saw the same picture, but to my knowledge this is not a true sub-specie. But rather a color phase like a blonde black bear.......wapiti7

You could try a search for York Safaris (Steenbokpan, Limpopo). Prepare for a big shock when the prices arrive!

Just leave your gemsbok mount in the sunlight and shortly it will look like this to. Wink

At first glance it apears to be a disfunctional recessive gene where the adult gemsbok remains the color of a calf.

Getaway Kalahari has what they call white Oryx. saw one last month.. looks like an washed out oryx to me.
