Pointing out that physics dictates that all else being equal, a 500 NE's recoil is absolutely greater than that of the 450 and 470 NE.

Que irrational responses as to why physics does not apply to certain shooters of said 500s ....

None of you know what arguments are.

Walterable arguments start from absolutely nothing!

Walter has a slight problem with anything technical, especially computers and wireless connections.

He has an endless problem setting up a wireless network at his house.

Each time I upgrade our wireless routers, I give him the same routers.

Ours always work.

His never do!!?

Just for fun, a friend brought me a router that has a 3 mile range - to be used outside.

I gave it to Walter a few days ago.

For the past 3 days, I have been trying to provide technical support to him, spending literally hours on the phone with him.

The jest of it is like this.

Walter - I have a problem.

Me - tell me something new! You always have a problem! What is it this time?

That thing you gave me. I am trying to connect it.

Did you read the instructions?

Yes, but it does not work!
You mean you did not follow the instruction?

I did, after I had the problem. But the instructions did not solve my problem. I thought you will help me.

Walter, that was a simple wireless router. All you had to do is connect it to your modem and to the power socket. That is it!

I changed the settings. Now nothing works!

What settings did you change? And why?

You see, You see! You are asking me stupid questions again! I THOUGHT I needed to change the settings! I did that before reading the instructions!

(Now I am laughing so much, as I could just see Walter working himself into a lather)

What settings did you put in?

I forgot! Because I did not write them down. And. And. I cannot remember the original settings that worked either!

(Now I am almost falling off my chair. What a great start to the day)

So what do want me to do?

Well, if you really want to be helpful, can you look at your modem settings and tell me what they are? They might work with mine.

I remember we did that sometimes before, but nothing worked.

I know. May be they will work now.

(I gave him my settings. They did not work)

OK, let us start from the beginning. What did you do?

Before we do that, can you explain to me what is the difference between a router, switch and modem?

OK, the modem is the unit you get from Etisalat. It is the part that connects you to the Internet. The router is what you connect to the modem, to get wireless connections. A switch is what you need if you need more connections.

Can you explain that again?

No!

You see, you are no help at all.

I bet you have no switch. All you have is a modem and a router. Is that correct?

Yes. But I thought I need a switch to make things work.

You only need a switch if you need more wired connections. Why don't you call Etisalat and get your modem setting from them? And you do, write the bloody thing down!

1) I did not do anything
or
2)I can't remember

It is not the space station that is controversial it is the debate on the best calibre and lenght of barrel need to shoot it, and the best place to be standing to do this tied in with what phase of the moon will give the straightest trajectory. Smiler
