"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

I'm doing lion in Moz. in July. I guess I'll be leaving my bear spray and bells home.

Alaska Hunter, let us know how the hunt goes. I'll be heading to Moz in '10. A friend is going with me to take a lion which will round out his big 5 (he just took his elephant in Zim 2 days ago). We'll be hunting somewhere in the Niassa. Good luck!

Caretaker,

I'll be doing Niassa also. I'll be going with a buddy for the first time. I typically go by myself. Three years ago I did lion in Zim and took an observer (a different friend). He would have never had a chance to do anything like that so I let him shoot my bait animals and he really had a terrific time. All it cost me was a few thousand $ in airfare and oberservation daily fees, but the reward was well worth it.

This time my other buddy set the hunt up and asked me to go along as an observer. He is doing buffalo, leopard, and sable. Next thing you know I'm booked for lion, buffalo and sable. The other buddy (that I paid for) was a lot cheaper.

I will let you know how the hunt goes.

Little Bells, ask anyone living in Montana about bear bells. The residents refer to them as dinner bells for the bears.
