Todd shot a hippo and an impala.

Because of the rains, new grass and new leaves are growing fast - unbelievably so!

Some area are beginning to look like groomed lawns, the boabab trees are blooming.

Saw a black mamba climb a tree and managed to get a few shots of it.

Yesterday while driving we drove over another snake - not sure which it was. It popped like a shot!!

We tried looking for it on the way back but apparently some bird enjoyed it for breakfast.

Absolutely right!

You cannot imagine how happy we are enjoining nature in all its glory, far away from the stupidity of modern so called civilization and its so called citizens.

Had what you might call a classic dugga boy hunt this morning.

We found the tracks of a lone bull while driving the border road early in the morning.

His gracks were very fresh, and he was going into our concession.

Wewent after him. It was very slow going, as finding his tracks in long grass, and hard ground was very difficult indeed.

But, our trackers, Nuni and Robert persisted, and I was very impressed with their ability.

After several hours, and 3.5 kilometers - at this pase a snale would have beaten us!

We found him, and shot him.

Very big boddies, old bull living by himself.

Along the way he went to a water hole and had a drink.

We this he is one of those dugga boys who live in a specific area out of the way, where there is plenty of food and drink.

Got back to camo close to 4, without having time to have lunch.

Teams B and Z are still out.

Your pictures capture the essence of safari, it is so much more than hunting. Great job to all of the photographers.

Walter shot a waterbuck.

Todd is still out.

We left early to the end of the concession.

Found fresh buffalo tracks and followed them.

About an hour later we somehow managed to get right in the middle of a very large herd!! Mixed with wildebeest!

An old dugga boy got clear, and I shot him.

The rest ran into the opposite hillside, which was very lucky as it was not as thicjly wooded as the other.

I managed to shoot two more mud encrusted dugga boys!

Ending up with 3 buffalo, we decided to call the game department, and asked them to come over and take one a half of them.

They wasted no time in getting to us, and were very happy to have the meat.

We decided to give the eland a go today.

Early in the morning took the tracks of a herd, and about 9 ks later saw them.

Managed to shoot two big bulls, so the camp has plenty of great meat.

Back in camp by 5.

Our last day of hunting, and despite the rains, we had an absolutely great safari.

Posted photos have been taken by every member of the safari.

Birds were mostly by Maktoum, and some by Rene.

All drone photos are frames extracted from vieos, as we only take videos by the drones.

Videos are set at 4K, played back on VLC - a free media player available on the Internet.

One can play the video, press E on the keyboard, which stops the video. Pressing E again advances the video one frame at a time.

Going to the VIDEO link at the top menu you will see a link at the bottom TAKE A SNAP.

Pressing this will capture the frame on the screen as a photo.

I have a lot more photos to post.

And videos will follow once I am home.

My own mixture of tse tse flies repellent works better than any commercial product we have tried.

It is a 50% DEET, mixed with clear 50 SPF sun screen and some mosquito repellent.

Applying this in the morning as we get on the truck works until after lunch. Another application in the afternoon guarantees peace from these
blood sucking pests.

I have not gotten one single bite while this is on.

One early morning we sat at a leopard bait.

Once visibility came we found that the bait was finished what looked like a lioness!

So we decided to go shoot an impala and put it up.

Walked less then 2 kilometers to get the impala, and was bitten several times, because I had no protection.

The Luwagu River has more water in it than we have seen anytime before, at this time of year.

That trio of buffaloes, all great bulls.

This safari seems to have comes to an end too soon. Photos have been consistently superb. Drone photos add a completely different dimension.

Saeed,
Did you get a trophy photo of the combined take on this safari? That would have to be impressive. Thanks once again for "taking us along".

Great tripp.
Congratulations.

Absolutely superb cross section of beloved Africa ... the whole safari in pictures from the ball biting ticks to the magnificent eland, including the insects, birds, people safari staff and camp life. Another year to cherish.

Who is the PH other than Alan and Dean?

We are back home.

Todd, Dwight, Roy and Rene are on their way home too.

First time flying through the New Dar International Airport.

Both police and customs were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient.

The officer in charge enjoying looking at our hunting pictures, and was kind enough to take us to the customs office, as we did not know where it was.

The lady in the customs office was having her lunch, I apologized for disturbing her break. She laughed and invited me join her!

Everything went as smoothly as ever.

I looked at some of the videos on the plane, and you are all in for a treat!

From Gary being buried under long grass and the vultures landing on him, to Walter trying to walk across the river with marabou storks following him!

Luckily, everyone had a sense of humor, as the jokes and tricks never stopped.

Our professional hunters and video cameramen joined in too.

Dean Kendal and Pete Wadelow were the two additional professional hunters.

Gary and Wayne were the video camera men.

WSe have hunted with all of them before.

Pete and Wayne were with Walter and Maktoum.

Dean and Wayne were with Dwight and Todd.

Only complaints were from Walter.

He complained about everyone in his crew, including the driver and trackers!

He stated that he was given the rejects!

Pete answered by saying it was true, as it was fitting for the Grand Reject to get the rejects of the safari!

Getting attacked by a lion in the blind in total darkness, and shooting two lions were just an added bonus.

I will add more photos, and videos to keep you all entertained.
