Well guys and gals, We are now down to 60 days till the Selous...It all started 13 months ago when I won the buf hunt...planning is over and conditioning is in order and gear...Clothes, ammo and rifles, cameras, batteries, video and digital cards for memories..
Well my wife is as bad as me now bitten by the African bug and one can only appreciate its bite when bitten...You wake up and can't go back to sleep...Your thoughts are of Africa and the animals you have on quota...Rifles 450#2 and 375H&H are ready and practice is still in the picture..Ammo will be loaded and boxed and ready..Lists come out and crossed out and even added too..
Shooting the boomers has been great fun..Doc52, Widowmaker 416, BigFive Jack...My friend BillC and I have discussed the enjoyment and excitement of this safari..Other AR friends have helped and encouraged also...
All meds now received...airplane seating arranged thru Kathi at Wild Travel..Visa apps filled out and sent with passports registered mail sent...Amsterdam pass thru paperwork filled out and awaiting the proper time to be faxed to proper authorities...Shoes and shoelaces knives, Ultrathon 3M bug repellant, Pyrithrin spray for clothes to keep bugs dead if they land on clothes..gaiters...hats and skinsosoft for tsetse flies and fly swatter...
Have watched many African hunting videos...Larry Shores shared his with me and Frank Martinez shared 2 boxes with me and I will be watching my DVD of Buzz's elephant video for a couple more times...'The Perfect Shot' will be digested again and again..
4457 filled out and ready and waiting to be attached to my passport..All paperwork is photocopied and will accompany my wife and I to Africa and Tanzania with us just in case...Will spend my time on an airplane for my wife's birthday Amsterdam to Dar...She will never forget that... Big Grin
My thoughts keep taking me back to 2 buf, zebra, warthog, impala, sable, hartebeaste, waterbuck, Nyasa wildebeaste, leopard, lion, ele, hippo, and croc...and 21 days Cool

This is my life long dream to do full bag Tanzania safari...It is coming true....

The excitement level is off the chart...

If you would like to read my wife's thoughts let me know...

A generous thank you to all!!!

Mike

Mike,

Best of luck to you and your wife on the hunt.

I spoke to Pierre a few weeks ago, and he was very excited about having you hunt with him.

Roy, Rene, Alan and Leoni Vincent left us 2 days ago after spending about 10 days as our guests here in Dubai. As usual, we always enjoy having them here as our guests.

Alan has taken our details to orgenize the hunting license, so you might say that we are in the final preparation of our trip as well.

Make sure you take plenty of photos to share with us on your return.
