ForrestBFrom "cats" to "pussy" in less than a year
Our esteemed member "cats" is often quick to offer his opinion on all things hunting in Africa. Before any of you take his opinion too seriously, you should take a quick look at his posting record. He came on board in June of 2005 with no safari experience and looking for advice in planning his first plains game hunt. In the course of a few months, he morphed into the dope smoking bwana bhang.

I am headed off on my very first safari. I am certain to buy way too many trinkets/curios and such.
I plan to pack in my duffle bag another bag to use as my 3rd piece upon return with the "junk" I buy in it.
Does anyone know how much the 3rd bag will cost me comming home? Thanks "Cats"

I'm no expert on hunting anything in Africa but I do know reloading and shooting my reloads into animals. I hunt moose and elk as my bigger game animals with my reloads in a 270. Intresting enough up until a few years ago the 270 was THE elk caliber.
Elk and moose have a heavy bone system, certainly as heavy or heavier than anything in the plains game family up to kudu, oryx an such. Any good quality bullet even most factory foder will perform well on that size animal with shoulder shots in the proper powder/bullet combo in a 270 and up.
As far as needing to stop a dangerous game animal on my safari the PH told me there's no chance of it so I shall take my 270 and a 45-70 for the larger animals.
I saw in another thread where a man has pictures of a lion, elephant, leopard, cape buffalo shot with a bow and arrow. I would think even a 270 has more stopping power than a bow.

Sometime during this period he discovered Google and became the experienced African hunter.

I've hunted in Namibia,RSA and Zim. each unique in their own way. I've never hunted eles but "have been among them". I'd pick a quality PG hunt in Namibia over anything else. If DG thrills you try a Namibian leopard. Though be careful of those ranch hunts for them, they've learned to be sharp to stay alive on the ranches there.

I was there (hunting in Africa) twice several seasons ago. I thought I had little interest in going back untill I happened onto AR while doing reloading research. I kept an eye on the Africa hunting forum for sometime while being interested more in the reloading info on AR.Before I knew it I had the bug once again .

jorgeNice job Forrest in smoking out what most of us knew already. Apart from the syntax and grammar of a six year old, we can officially label him what he truly is:
A. Fake
B. Liar
And after yesterday's exchanges:
C. BIGOT.

Michael RobinsonForrest has demonstrated, with direct reference to this person's own words, that he is a pathological liar and a fraud. Thanks Forrest for dispelling any possible doubts anyone may have had.
The clinical term for this kind of person is
sociopath. The colloquial term is

Lhook7I had always assumed he was some kid who got his kicks out of annoying his elders. I didn't like it, but who among us wasn't a smart ass when we were in high school? Then I saw the picture T.Carr posted of him on the thread linked below, and he is a full grown man!!!
Absolutely disgusting! He must be one sad, sick little man.

Why don't you just put the past behind you, confess up and join in here in a constructive manner. You evidently have an interest in African hunting. You would find people here generally accept people when they join in constructively even after some silliness. BTW it might be good to drop the other alias(es) too.

surestrikeI pegged him for a sciopath and a loser in his last trollific lust frenzy on the OoA post.
It is truely amazing that a grown man would get thrills from spewing the utter bullshit that he is so fond of.
There is something very very wrong with this person. I doubt that he even knows what the problem is otherwise he'd have gotten some help by now.
Thanks Forrest!!! Wonder if he actually made it to Africa last year???
And I thought I needed to get a life!!

Thanks Forrest.

I wasn't going to bother with replys to this thread but what the hell the day is slow anyway.
True I've never hunted in any country of SA with a gun other than 1 I borrowed from the estate owner in Zim. While there on buisness way back when first out of school and landed my first rep job and traveled to both Zim and RSA with my boss and a salesmanger to a Dutch owned private estate.I returned to do work there 2 yrs later and also took my bow along with my rifles. This was a high fenced estate of approx. 6k acres. If Forrest would like to do the research I had posted that as well, though I doubt he'd take the time to research those posts equally as well as he did the prior ones in this post.
To me hunting on a high fenced shooting estate is no safari...but a few posters here would consider it so.
also true I am going back on my first to Namibia in 2006. fact is I haven't hunted with guns except for some deer and bear hunting here in pa for several years since relocating back here ...I am ancher and have made no secret about that in the past.
now if the poster who bought his lion after perusing the zip files and rate attachments wants to clear the air with a post stating just that i will not embarass him by posting his name here....he can also explain that buffalo in his trophy room too..............

jorgeNow he's making up some crap about having hunted as a "rep" for a business entity while in Zim. He says he "hunted" there but in the same sentence he condems those that hunt on ranches. He's even catching himself in his own lies and of course he can't produce pictures nor the name of the "ranch" he hunted in Zim.
Pussy, someone needs to cut your nuts off to ensure you don't procreate. Your are indeed the embodiement of a true loser. jorge

Zero DriftAnyone who has flown through Johannesburg, Capetown, or Harare can easily describe the facilities and landmarks surrounding the airport. For instance, there is a well-known landmark as you leave the Harare airport. If you have been in Zim, you know this. Then again, who goes all the way to Africa without taking ANY pictures???
Why does this incident remind me of another infamous AR troll who has booked all sorts of fictitious hunts?
