Heres the full report - posted on Jonathans behalf !

Joes Mahenye elephant hunt
A dream come true
I have just completed very successful elephant hunt with my good friend Joe Waroquier .just before we started the hunt a friend of mine ph collen van der linden took a picture of a very big elephant that he said crossed into the hunting area a couple of times during his hunt but they had been unable to get a chance at him .
I spoke with Joe and he had already taken a big elephant at Mahenye ,so we decided to hunt and concentrate on this bull. Again he crossed a couple of times in the night and went back early and he was in a group of 20 + bulls and we had no chance of getting onto him .
On the 16th day of our safari we were walking down slowly along the save river and we saw some bulls on the islands ,I recognized a bull with one tusk that I knew moved with the big bull.
It got dark and they crossed into the hunting area but there was nothing we could do and I hadn't seen the big one but we knew he was probably there.
We decided to get up very early and walk slowly at first light down the area that we saw them at the previous evening. We had not been walking far when we heard some elephant feeding and a couple of young bulls come out and walked past us ,then I saw the bull with one tusk so I got excited knowing we were on the right group ,several bulls came past and I was worried that we had missed him ,then out walked the bull of our dreams, He walked past us and Joe got a heart shot at 30 yards ,after a couple more shots the huge bull was ours .
I was shocked and humbled when I walked up to him ,I have been fortunate to hunt many elephant in the last 20 years but have always dreamed of taking a elephant like this .
Thank-you Joe and all the other hunters out there that make it possible for me to do this.
Thank-you to a understanding ,loving family that know what drives me .
Thank-you to my trackers who are always there for me ,Amos ,big Livi and Sunny, without them none of this would have been possible.
Right tusk 100.5#
Left tusk 82#
Yours in good hunting
Jonathan Hulme
