I was just watching Boddington and Ivan's new ele video. What is amazing is the difference in body size of the animals from the Zambezi valley to the Botswana eles.

you are right , an average valley bull will be 3 metres 20 at the shoulder and a botswana bull is most often over 4 metres ... How do the Gonerezhou bulls fit into the equation? "There are worse memorials to a life well-lived than a pair of elephant tusks." Robert Ruark

They are much bigger than the valley bulls, though I understand still smaller than the Botswana bulls. I have never seen a Botswana bull in the flesh, however, so can't really comment on that one.

Who else do I need besides you for quality Sunday evening entertainment? China Fleet Sailor, Chipolopolo and Adrook would certainly spice it up, but you can quite easily stand alone my friend....Keep them coming please. Dave

Very nice Steve. DRSS Life Member SCI Life Member NRA Life Member WSF Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick. And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too. May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep. May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip. -Seth Peterson
