Size of elephants
I was just watching Boddington and Ivan's new ele video. What is amazing is the difference in body size of the animals from the Zambezi valley to the Botswana eles.

you are right , an average valley bull will be 3 metres 20 at the shoulder and a botswana bull is most often over 4 metres ...

How do the Gonerezhou bulls fit into the equation?

They are much bigger than the valley bulls, though I understand still smaller than the Botswana bulls. I have never seen a Botswana bull in the flesh, however, so can't really comment on that one.

Those guys you will be hunting along the Hwange border will be the big boys. Once your bull hits the ground and you walk up to it you'll say F---!!!!

Who else do I need besides you for quality Sunday evening entertainment? China Fleet Sailor, Chipolopolo and Adrook would certainly spice it up, but you can quite easily stand alone my friend....Keep them coming please.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
