Damn, that's sad news. Dave was a really nice fellow. I will always remember him at the shows sharing biltong and a wee dram of nice scotch with folks. Very sorry to hear this. My condolences.
That's terrible news! I had some great conversations with him.
My condolences to his family.

Visited with him a few times at the shows. Always the Gentleman.
Think about what it takes to become the C/O of a nuclear submarine. Not only does one have to do the work and gain the technical knowledge to be considered, but then he has to out perform the competition and ultimately be selected.
And then...to be skilled enough to move on to Flag Rank?
What an extraordinary accomplishment. RIP, Sir.

Very sad to hear this - will miss him at the shows with his Scotch thistle crystal glasses and some of the finest single malts to be had, which he shared most generously!

Yes indeed. A true gentleman and a true patriot. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones. May God bless them with an outpouring of love and support.

We used to talk about the old days on the boats. A true gentleman who treated an old first class as an equal.

Sorry to hear about this. May he rest in peace and God give comfort and solace to his family.
