I am interested on an Ele PAC hunt. What safari companies/PHs do you recommend I contact. I have hunted Africa twice, but not for Jumbo. This will be my first ele hunt. Suggestions would help me a lot. Thanks

I'll add my vote for Buzz. Traditional, tracking on foot, and going for the brain shot.

Dudley Rogers at Tshabezi Safaris is another good one.

I'll second Dudley Rogers. He has a lot of Elephant options. You can do a 5-day cow Ele, 10-day Bull Ele "night hunt" or any of the other Elephant hunts he has.

Dudley is at www.tshabezisafaris.com - and I know a guy who has done FIVE trophy BULL ELLIES with him.

This guy's 78 and 79 pounder is on the opening page of the above site top right corner.

My friend's got a site for his store too www.rangemasteroutfitters.com.

Dudley Rogers and his son Clinton at tshabezis are wonderful to hunt with. Give them a try. I've done cow and bull hunts with them.

I am looking to do a ellie with Dudley Rogers and the PH will be Lorry. The hunt will be 12 days in mid April. Does anyone have information or suggestions regarding this hunt? I have never hunted with them before and don't know anyone who has. Thanks

I hunted with his son Clinton a few years back for trophy elephant. It was a great hunt. Do as much walking as you can before you go and you will enjoy the hunt more.

LOL! Now that it is open, one might as well mention the Desert Ele "non-trophy" hunt currently in the Discounted Hunts forum. Exportable hide too! Not a bad deal.

Hi Quick Shot

As we talk PAC with paying clients is illegal and has been for a while now so it would be a no go. The closest you will get is a ration elephant hunt. Operators have different opinions on this and as a result have different policy on their ration quota. I know that some operators offer ration ele bulls but we feel that this is very short sighted and as a result we only offer ration cows. Personally I would suggest a tuskless hunt rather then a ration ( bull or cow) as it is much more of a hunt! Cheers Buzz

There oughtta be a law against opening long dead posts! Eeker This one is especially inept as it wants to discuss PAC elephant hunts, which are illegal and unethical to sell in advance. shame It would not be overly difficult to discern the facts before posting. killpc

Problem Animal Control. Great sport if you have the means to be involved in it.

Please note, this is not a "PAC" hunt, But the hunt is done under PAC conditions in that it is generally at night. The trophy is exportable and there is a Cities quota of Bulls, and tukless. We like to do the hunts earlier in the season when a lot of ellies are causing havock. The hunter does NOT have to shoot the first bull he sees and we look and hunt for the best we can find. It is a fun way to hunt believe it or not.

PAC and TROPHY should not be used in the same sentence. Many bulls, in my strongest opinion are shot as PAC animals, yet do not qualify. Are there honest PAC hunts, of course, but be VERY careful.
