With uncle Ivan and American big game hunter Jim Zindl in Chewore...
Here are some great shots of Daniel on the hunt, and with some of Jim's Zindl's trophies. Dan is already a competent cameraman and managed to capture some great footage on this hunt.

Outstanding! I am sure those memories will be with him for a lifetime.

By the way, David, can't wait to see the pictures of your forays into the bush with your "neice", Samantha....

David,

Interesting leopard baiting technique, but couldn't he carry more meat without the rifle?

Us Hulmes learn to multi-task at a young age. Bet the regular gun-bearer had it easy on that hunt. And judging by the size of the hunk of meat, I'd guess it was genet bait not leopard!

Genet or leopard I hope they don't make him carry the bait on his back while hunting them! "Just hold still, really still and we'll shoot it off your back."

Seriously though great pictures! I can't imaging what that must be like to grow up like that.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
-Seth Peterson
