Gentlemen,

I am about half way through this project, and will finish it as soon as I can.

I am trying to juggle a few jobs at the same time, as usually happenes once one has been out of the country for a while.

You are all going to enjoy this video. Walter, and the rest of the crazy crew, have been trying their best to outdo each other!?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay.

I normally try to get this done as soon as we get back from our hunt.

Sadly, this year has been a bit hectic.

I had to travel quite a bit immediately after my return from the hunt, and then my brother had a nasty car accident.

He had 3 cracks in his head, broken 5 ribs, smashed his shoulder to pieces - the shoulder blade was broken into 10 pieces!

He was in intessive care, then had to have a major operation to repair his shoulder joint.

The doctors said he might be able to have about 80% of his shoulder movement eventually.

He is going through a lot of physio, and we are hoping for the best.

I have already edited most of the video, and 2 DVDs are already being copied.

barring any disaster from Walter, I should have the DVDs ready in a few days.

Speaking of our Master of Disasters. The day before yesterday he managed to stick his finger into a cooling fan in a computer I have assembled.

He blames me for leaving the cover open now!

Gentlemen,

Thank you all for your good wishes.

He is recovering very well, and continuing his physio.

He is looking at the bright side of things.

It is his left shoulder that is damaged, so it should not have too much effect on his shooting.

I have finished the video of our hunt in the Moyowosi last year.

I put the footage on 3 DL DVDs - that is about 6 hours.

I also have some footage which I have taken myself with a new camera that captures in the AVCHD format.

It is a small camera - Canon HF11 - and I used it when Walter was hunting, as well as take some footage of what happens after the shot.

Like gutting, cutting and loading the animals.

I converted these to WMV - Windows Media Video - format, and put them on a seperate DVD.

These one can be viewed on a computer.

And for those who have high resolution displays - 1920x1080 - you will see how fantastic the quality is.

The only problem with this camera is that it is really just a point-and-shoot model. It does not have any manual controls that are essential for use on a hunt.

We are hoping that a new model will come out this year before our next hunt - planned for October.

In addition to the great quality this format produces,it is also much easier to put on other media for distribution.

We have been using HDV for the past few years - capturing everything in high definition.

Trouble was there is no way one can distribute this in HD.

DVD is the only format available.

With the new format, it is very easy to put the final fottage on Blue-Ray disks to be viewed on high def TVs.

I am in the process of printing, labeling and packaing the DVs. And should be able to ship them to Frank later in the week.

I hope you enjoy them

Especially One-Shot Walter's adventures! Smiler
