Just sitting inside security at the airport waiting for the first flight (cranbrook to calgary) on my way to Arusha. I am just "observing" this time, for a friend's (who occasionally posts here as Iceman) hunt with Rainer Josch on Mt Loosimingor. I am every bit as excited as on trips where I am hunting!! We will be doing 7 days on the mountain, and 5 days of photosafari. Cheers, Chris | ||

Man, you are one lucky dog. I'm green with envy! Have a great trip and be sure to post a report. Jason "You're not hard-core, unless you live hard-core." _______________________ Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt. Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure. -Jason Brown | |||

Thanks for the well-wishes folks. Iceman and I are just having a Starbucks coffee at Schiphol airport waiting for the next flight to Calgary. The hunt was fantastic. It far exceeded all expectations! It was all the challenge we hoped for, especially with the rains, and was even more rewarding as a result.
