Emmy got into a huge herd of buffalo the first day of the hunt (Sunday) and she and her P.H. (Kevin Baisley) saw over 30 shootable bulls with one right at 45 inches... and at 25 yards.... but she was hunting a cow for her first DG experience. Dang woman saw more mature buffalo in one day than I've seen in 20 safaris.

Not to worry!

They found them again the next morning and finally got a shot at an old lady with no calf. She heart-shot her and it was over in 20 yards. Good video of it all.

Still at Matetsi with lots of excitment. Details to follow when we get back next week, but tuskless down for me with a good side_brain shot, a 55 inch kudu for Emmy and I have a big leopard on the bait that I'll try to get this afternoon.

As usual, there ain't nothing like Africa.

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.
