We left him as the wind was wrong, and headed into more hills.

We found 4 bulls, and I managed to shoot two of them.

Congrats on your leopard and buff´s. And please congrat Walter and his PH, on his wildebeest.I think it will be a good cover letter to the PH as he did Walter hunt. !!!

We all had another great day of hunting.

Walter shot an impala

Roy shot a wildebeest.

And I shot a hyena and a kudu.

Took some funny drone footage of a hippo and crocs in the river.

How big is a hyena? I'm aware of their powerful jaws, just not the body size.

Saeed,
I think these are some of your finest safari photos. What camera are you using for these ?
( In no way suggesting that your skills play no part in the photo quality Wink)

We sat at the lion bait this morning, and were surprised by a lion standing right next to our blind.

It turned out to be a lone lioness. She went to the bait and had a good feed, then wondered off into the forest.

We left intending to go to our croc bait, but saw some wildebeest. And after a long stalk shot one, and decided to head back to camp.

On the way we shot an impala for Walter's BBQ.

I have literally thousands of pictures, but time is rather short to upload load them, as sometimes we leave camp at 4 in the morning, and not return till dinner time.

By that time one has just about time to have a shower and dinner before hitting the sack!

Your usual awesome pictures, Saeed, especially the annual shot of a scrotal tick infestation. As someone earlier suggested, that may be the reason buff bulls are so beligerent!

Walter shot a buffalo today, and I shot a waterbuck.

ad long chase with a herd of eland in some thickets, but were not able to see any bull.

The bullet embedded in the tree.

We followed some duggaboys, and found them enjoying an afternoon siesta under some trees.

The only one presented a shot was an old bull lying down with his back towards us.

I hit him in the spine, and my second shot was through his ears.

This one embedded in the tree trunk and we dug it out.

Great pics and thanks for these.
One question that I've wanted to know for years: who the hell is Walter? I know he gets a lot of shit from folks here. Is he Saeed's brother, a wealthy sheik, a hanger on to the upper class?

Seriously. I'm curious.

I remember a few years ago this was raised and we found that he is a German who was an Olympic shooter in Munich and spent time in Chile and probably a gunsmith. I think you can google him but I forgot his surname. Got it - Walter Wrigge - placed 22 with a score of 190 in Mixed skeet

A colourful character shrouded in mystery!

We shot our last buffalo today, which makes it number 13.

We followed their tracks for hours yesterday, and they went to some thicket which we did not wish to go into, as trying to see a suitable bull is really an impossible task.

So we left them and went to catch up with them this morning.

Founding them feeding, and the wind was right, but all one gets to see is their rear ends.

Eventually we picked a bull, and I duly out a bullet into his rear, crossing into his chest.

He ran into very thick bush, and lay down.

After quite a bit of maneuvering, we managed to get into a position where one could see to put a finisher into him.

Found the first bullet in his right lung, after going through his rear left leg, destroying the liver and one kidney.

We then saw some crocs feeding on a dead hippo.

We crawled on our hands and knees, and stomachs, and ley in the middle of a sandy river, from mid day till after 2!

We sweated buckets, and even the vultures circles us and landed not far from us!!

Plenty of big crocs, but none was clear enough to shoot.

Hopefully better luck tomorrow.
