georgeldYour pictures from the air fully explains why I have to get a window seat in front of the wing. Just so I can watch. Amazing how well the map makers are so accurate compared to the air. These days with Google Earth that's what we're seeing, but, 20-40 years ago it wasn't.
I'm curious, how long does it take to fly from your place to the hunting grounds?
Have a great safe hunt.

RIPVery funny!
Keep up the good work!
Three intrepid souls with their wheelchairs chained to the handrail of the short bus!
Going off to safari in a manner that would make Robinson Crusoe himself look like the pampered whelp of decadence!
Yes! Hilarious!
What can top this?
The rest of the safari will be an anticlimax.

SaeedWe had a bit of hard day yesterday, and today could not have been any easier.
We came across a herd of buffalo about 5 Ks from cam, around 7.
They were feeding into some thickets, and we could only see one or two at any given moment.
We made a long detour to get downwind, and followed them.
Eventually we managed to see some bulls in the open, and I had a perfect shot from about 30 yards.
He ran a few yards and dropped.
We skinned him and taken him yo camp, to join Walter and Rene for lunch.
We are heading out early this afternoon to put up lion baits.

AR MANWow your hunting area consistently produces the finest of Eland Bulls and should be interesting what you can come up with in the lion department!!!

BlacktailerGreat pictures as always. You capture so many interesting things like the birds and insects in the close-ups that make safari so enjoyable.
Nice eland too!

SaeedWe seem to be continuing our good luck streak.
This morning, we came across the tracks of a fresh herd, and followed them.
We found them feeding following the edge of the thicket, most of them inside the thicket.
The good part was the wind was perfect, and we stayed with them at a very slow pace.
We surprised a bull feeding 5 yards away from us, only a bush prevented him seeing us.
He took off for a few yards, and stood in the open.
Trouble was I can only see part of his head, and I put a bullet in it.
He dropped, and we ran after the rest of them, adding another bullet into our bull which was down.
Saw another bull, and fired a shot at him
He ran into the thicket, and followed.
We found him standing with his head down, facing away.
I put another round into his rear end, which dropped him.
We had 2 bulls down by 8 in the morning.
We loaded one up and took him to the camp, and sent the truck back to get the other one.

Nelson BGood days everybody. An special greeting to Saeed and my best wishes for the group in all the hunt. A hug for Roy for his birthday.
It was very nice to see Maktoum in the hunt this year. I always remember him with love and gratitude for his kindness and generosity that he gave me in Dubai.
For Alan and wife, Roy and Rene, my love forever. A hug for my friend Walter.
Thanks for the photos ; they are always fantastic, better every year. Hopefully you indicate which cameras are being used this year.
The Eland, very nice. That place has many magnificent Eland´s trophies . And two buff before 8 AM, awesome.

SaeedWe are having some problems with our Internet connections.
Hard to connect and connections are being dropped!!
Yesterday we followed some wildebeest, then came across some dugga boys tracks, so changed and followed them.
While following them, a warthog walked right into us, which I shot.
Spent about an hour waiting for the truck and taking pictures and videos of the vultures.
Then continued following the bulls.
Found them about 400 meters further on!! Apparently the shot did not bother them at all.
They were all hidden, and the only shot was on one lying down.
I shot him, and the rest ran off.
Maktoum is still having problems with buffalo.
They get very close to them in the bush, but no sign of a good bull to shoot.
He is learning how easy it is to hunt buffalo.
Had a great eland BBQ by Walter last night.

SaeedRoy started hunting today, and he shot a warthog and a buffalo.
I shot a hippo, and Maktoum shot a buffalo and a wildebeest.
I will upload photos once we get our Internet connection sorted out.

You're teasing me with these photos of the bladetech AR knives! I've scoured the net for a while now looking for one for sale, to no avail!

Michael RobinsonGreat old bulls, Saeed. Nicely done.
And beautiful images, as well.
I love to see the age-old big game hunting standards upheld.
We can only hope that they will be carried forward.

Problems with our Internet connection
Maktoum finished his hunt.
He shot 2 buffalos, impala, warthog, wildebeest and Kongoni.
Not bad for a first safari!
Walter starts hunting today.
ROY shot a buffalo, warthog and kongoni.
Yesterday I got a leopard, the day before I shot a hyena and a buffalo.
We were surrounded by buffalo that day, had 3 herds within looking distance.

SaeedWalter shot a wildebeest!!
And I shot two old buffalo bulls.
We started off into a remote area frequented by them, and found the tracks of one.
We followed it for a few miles, and jumped him in thick bush. He gave us a very short glimpse before disappearing for good.
We left him as the wind was wrong, and headed into more hills.
We found 4 bulls, and I managed to shoot two of them.
