No wonder my Ruger never showed any problems!
Need to find a *real* cheap source for .416 bullets asap and start practicing straight away! Can't even do that with an R93 (and still hit something...)!

Now that some mentioned *feeding* problems, I found that my CZ (in .416 Rigby) ocassionally seems to hit a snag when feeding (in addition to the aforementioned (weeks ago) ejection problem with the round preceeding the cartidge that come up from the left side of the magazine). I loaded 400 grs Noslers in new Norma brass, and every so often, I feed, and about half-way close, I hit something, hard. What can that be? I slightly crimp the case mouths, so I shouldn't think the case mouth grabs onto something...or could it?

Anyway, still working on getting used to the boom, and working up the load...gun smith work to follow I'm sure.

You mentioned polishing the ejector groove to smooth it up and increasing the spring tension for the ejector...

Is this easy to do oneself at home? How is it removed (if you can explain it here)? I assume you have to pull the action from the stock?

I may do that just as a precaution as it sounds like a good idea if it helps that ejector move in it's slot more easily/faster.
