Fron my correspodence with JPK and MJines I think they might be some very reasonable folks to share a camp with. They have experience, common sense and no BS.

I agree with Steve, I haven't met any AR members that I wouldn't hunt with given the opportunity. However, I have to say that whole bunch I met in Dallas were a hoot to hang out with especially the group from Houston.

I'd like to hunt Saeed or Walter. Oh wait a minute you wanted to know who I wanted to hunt with. My bad.
I think it would be a blast to hunt with most anyone from AR. So, who is inviting me on a hunt. I make a fairly good gunbearer.

I have been fortunate enough to hunt with Saeed, Walter, and I have booked many hunts for many of the good folks on AR, who have become life long friends..I have also been blessed to make so many good friends at Dallas and Reno with AR members, I think I would like to hunt with everyone on here at least one time, even those that have preconceived ideas that I'm not such a good guy! Smiler It would be a great way to over come such feelings IMO..I know one thing for sure and that is in hunting camp you can seperate the men from the boys and you can make lifetime friendships..

Have had the pleasure of breakfast with Shakari in Tanzania ... he'd be a wonderful fella to share a hunt or camp with! There are many others on AR that would be wonderful companions and from whom I would learn a lot ... way too many to list.

I prefer hunting 1 x 1 so I wouldn't like to hunt with anyone else. Now as to who I would like to be in camp with at the end of the day, well just about any fellow hunter who doesn't become obnoxious when they drink.

There are lots of great guys/gals and a ton of valuable info on this forum. The list of guys/gals that I'd like to meet much less hunt with is very long.

But....push come to shove and you are only allowed to pick one.... then it is an easy choice for me.

I'd pick AzGuy Big Grin..... he is very smart, good looking, a decent/good+ shot, enjoys the sundowns/sunrises and sundowners but not to excess, hunts hard,is happy for you and not worried/bothered if you shoot a "bigger" whatever than he does and is a great guy to hang with around the camp fire!! And he shoots a DR!! beer

Sounds like a lot of the posters here!!!!!!

Then with "la flor y nata of AR" : Saeed, Ahmed Sultan, Ahmed Niazi, Bwanamich, Ganyana, Aziz, bwanamrm, Bill C and jbderunz. Can you imagine the hunting stories around a campfire with a team like that ?

I have hunted with Tony Black and his brother, and would share a camp with them any time, including Tony's lovely wife. I would love to hunt with Ray, Judge G and just about everyone on the AR forum. I love to hunt, but sharing it with others is a big joy for me. My wife and son are probably my favorite companions.

To those of you that have mentioned me specifically I feel honored and I assure you the feeling is mutual, I would hunt with you anytime.

It has been my distinct pleasure to hunt with several members of AR. All of these hunts have been fun and I have found life long friends as a result.

Also it had been my pleasure to meet and "hang out" with many AR members.

ALL have been first class in every respect. Including MANY that have been "somewhat" Roll Eyes controversial.

In person, ALL have been Gentlemen of the highest order.

I consider myself the better for finding AR, and I thank Saeed for AR, and making it possible for me to be here, and to be able to meet so many from the AR group in person.

I would hunt with anyone on AR.

There is NO OTHER Web site like AR

I would encourage ANYONE on AR to come to the Dallas Safari Club Show, and meet in person fellow AR members.

In Person, most of them "ain't so bad". Big Grin

Interesting reply. Sarah is a lifetime member of NRA and has done a fair amount of hunting here in Alaska. Her husband was a commercial fisherman and winner of the Tesoro Irondog (look it up).

There are many guys on here that I think would be great to share camp and some cold Tshwalla with. Chasing Ellies around with Ganyana im sure would be a hoot.

JPK and I have a bit in common (I beleive) with the maker of our double rifles....we would for sure have a bit to talk about.

I think it is more of a matter of who I wouldn't hunt with.

I hate to make a list of all the folks on this website that have been nice to me. I am afraid I would leave someone off.

Unfortunatly since I am an ogerish brut that doesn't like bowhunting elitist, liars, self righteous assholes, and folks who put themselves above other people for ownership of a certain gun, religion, wife, car, or past experiences wether truthful or imagined. But disgression being the better part of valor I don't think I will list who I wouldn't want to hunt with either.

If I won powerball and I could find a venue I would love to invite 20-50 of the folks on AR to a week at someplace like the YO, 777 ranch, or Indianhead that could host us. Donate all the meat to hunters for the hungry, and have a hell of a nice time.

Walter would certainly be entertaining, Saeed, Yukon Delta, Silwane, Gerry, MHO, Fallow Buck, Aleko, Mr Rigby, Atkinson, Safari Outfitters, Kamo Gari, Anders, Ian F, Trackers NZ, Mario, 10.3x60R, Collani, a lot of the guys from the Alaska forum, damn near all the European guys, and most of the folks from the combination gun, gunsmithing, and single shot rifle forums. If I missed you and we have some friendly dialogue, or established ongoing writing I appologize,

The only person I have hunted with on this website was Gerry and he was brilliant!

I have been lucky enough to hunt with all three of my kids on separate occasions in Zim. My oldest daughter when she was sixteen in 2001 on mt second hunt with Ross Johnston in the Omay North. Then my younger daughter also on her sixteenth with Lou Hallamore in Matetsi Unit One in 2002. In 2006 My 16 year old son went along to the Selous. This year I hunted Omay South with Lou again and my now 18 year old son. He had quite a wild one with 3 buff, a kudu, warthog, impala, and baboon. I had a wonderful hunt with Lou the legend, hooking up with a buff, a big leopard, and an elephant bull with a frontal brain at 10 yds. These are quality guys and it was great to have my kids experience their company as well as the hunts.

Those female big game hunters are far between and she seems to be a very nice person.

Also Ray, Rusty and Mike (Retrever) are high on my list for an African safari.

I had the great experience of hunting with Ann up in Canada. I remember well being delayed until long after dark when I went one evening to get her. When I arrived (by boat), Ann was sitting on a rock by the bank of the creek giggling at a bear about 10 yards away that was whoofing and snapping at her and pacing back and forth.

She ain't afraid of no little 300 lb. bear! Just don't take her fishing.

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

Not to leave anyone out (there seems to be ALOT of good guys here on AR), but a few that come to mind are BillC and Bwanamrm.. Both of those guys seem to have the Midas touch when it comes to hunting..and both seem to be genuine guys as well.

Another would have to be Blair 338/378.. He's just seems like a great guy to be around.. loads of fun and never a dull moment!!
