Why doesn't he let the lions and leopards choose how to die? Seems hypocritical to me.
If he had half the sack he says he does, he should try coaxing some lion and leopard charges.

I agree with that 100%, and would have no issue with saying it to the man's face.
Cheers,

Canuck! I see you are in a discussion involving CATS

NitroXNo one is forced to buy MS's films or forced to watch them. No one is forced to hire him as a PH.
Yet he makes a lot of sales, and is probably the most "popular" thread topic on this forum.
Funny isn't it!

xgruntDo you think his videos have any educational value? I believe it is a pretty good lesson in what not to do with a wounded animal.
I also think it may give all who hunt cape buffalo a little bit of the essence of how a wounded animal behaves. Especially, the first time buffalo hunter. We can all make a poor shot from time to time and the buffalo plays by his rules in picking the spot where he will make his stand. He may not give you the luxuary of spotting him at a distance for the quick and humane finish which should be the prefered method. Having seen a MS video with him dispatching several buffalo at close quarters, let me know I want no part of that type hunt, but I do feel there was some educational value in observing a wounded buffalo.

G L KrauseAgreed with the educational value of the charge sequence. Books just don't give you the timing sense of how fast they will come. Actually, reading stories like Capstick's made me think that there is only ever time for a snapshot. That might be true in some cases, but watching one of Sullivan's videos has made me realize that there is plenty of time (if you can keep your cool).

<Hunter Formerly Known As Texas Hunter>Kinda like the old Indiana State Police film of gory car wrecks they used to show in drivers ed. classes back in the sixties.

One day the whole truth is going to come out, and I suspect it is not going to be very flattering to us all as hunters.
Hope Soon !

LOL
other than the way he hunts UNWOUNDED hippo, i have no use for him.. I believe that taking an old bull in a small pan is far more ethical than shooting one in the water like a giant turtle.
I've seen a couple of his videos... "ethical" hunting? i don't think that entered into the MS Marketing policy as a critical factor
