USFW has responded to the appeal that we submitted for our client's Zimbabwe elephant permit. Despite the additional information that we obtained from the outfitter and Zimbabwe Parks, USFW maintained that there was still not enough details or set management plan established by Zimbabwe Parks to approve the permit from the 2014 elephant hunt.

This matches with information that we have received from Conservation Force, who has also run into these issues with elephants from 2014. We have confirmed that permit applications from 2015 on are being approved.

I'm not sure 2015 on is an accurate statement. Mine was taken in April 2015 and I was told point blank by Conservation Force there is no way to get that approved.

Can't speak for Conservation Force. I know that we got the denial for the elephant taken in 2014 as stated above, but also had a permit for an elephant taken in 2015 that was approved.

My denial was from 2017.

Howdy Karl,

Did you or your outfitter provide USFW with an Enhancement Report? That is key to getting all applications approved these days.
