Hello I was wondering if someone could tell me about this photo. I may have even asked this question before. I have searched google and this forum for more info. I recall reading somewhere that this picture was in a magazine. the photo was shot in Namibia and the elephant tusks aren't real. (if memory serves me) Actually, I am hopeing and willing to buy a better copy of the photo to print in a larger size. Any help appreciated, Jim  | ||

Nope not Peter Beard: The photographer is Horst Klemm. The shot come from his book An African Journal filmed in Botswana with tame elephants The model is a famous Czech model ? The elephant's name is Abu from Abu Camp in the Okavango When you bought his limited edition of the book the set of 2 prints came with the book you could at the time not buy the prints alone because of rights held by the modelling agency .... or so the legend goes | |||

She was in several photos with elephants. Too skinny and flat. Denise Milani would be a much better model. You wouldn't notiice the elephant!
