Does anyone here know the name of the company that is handling the firearms movement within the Johannesburg [and I believe Port Elizabeth as well]airport, from airlines to SAPS etc..

They seemed to have some sort of logo on their clothes and badges but I could not make it out.
I suppose it could have been the ACSA which runs the airport but I thought not at the time.

Thanks for your help.

There are several. I've dealt with them via Gracy Travel; Air2000/Hunters Support, Rifle Permits/VIP etc. I believe .458aubs made a special offer on his services and it sounded good to me.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Actually I am looking for the people that you pick up your rifles from at the airport and return it to when you are leaving.

They move it for you to SAPS after signing for it, before Customs etc and before you get picked up by your Rifle permit service.

{except for the Air2000 guys who seem to have some special deal to circumvent security and meet you at the gate -what's up with that?}

I find Air2000 to be unbeatable.

Anne Gaines-Burrill (owner) has never failed to provide me 1st class service at very reasonable prices - no matter what the task I asked to help me with. There might be someone else as good, but I've not found them.

OHH

Can't quarrel with your Air2000 experience, but I'm really looking for the Firearms handling contractor inside the airport!

Just there a month ago and evidently didn't pay enough attention, but I thought the guy was SA police. He was wearing the same color as the boys in the SAP office, walked right into the SAP office like he belonged there. I know they had me sign a register very similar to the one in the SAP office?? But I never did look closely at his uniform to see if he was police. He sure shyed away when I stated nice and loudly that I was not going to give him a tip.
