I was wondering who I would contact to place a banner ad.
I have developed a new dangerous game rifle/cartridge combination. It's called the 19 GNAT. The rifle will be a single shot, that operates on the old, turning under lever design used in older doubles and drillings. This design gives extremely solid lock up, while negating any potential for a quick follow up. So get it right. No quick follow up shots will be needed, or allowed. Trigger pull will be at 12 pounds, to prevent pemature firing.
The cartridge will be based on the 22 hornet case, necked down to 19 calibre. It will be loaded with a hard cast bullet of 165 grains. I used the speer hollow based wadcutter design for the bullet, only reversed, so that the cup point is at the front. This cup point bullet is expected to give extreme, straight penetration. I have added serrations around the cup point and along the bore diameter leading portion of the bullet, which will both increase penetration, by literally sawing through the game and cause bone fragments to spin off along the wound channel increasing tissue damage, without reducing penetration. My studies have shown that at 4000 fps, expanding bullets only penetrate six to ten inches with bullets with low bc's and soft points. I expect, from what I have read here on AR that if I load this bullet to about 273.5 fps, I can expect full penetration on frontal brain shots on ele's, and those departing heart shots on buffalo.
The extemely low recoil should make this the ideal combination for the aging shooters here on AR, whose arthritic limbs, except their power keyboarding fingers(hence the heavier trigger pull) and fading eyes need all the help they can get.
I am also looking for a scope manufacturer to join in this project. The scope will need a very large objective and perhaps night vision cababilities. High magnification would be best so that the shots can be precisely placed. This combination is designed for shots at from one to six meters. All rifles are shipped with a twelve pack of adult diapers. You will need them.
I am also looking for partners in the safari industry who will provide free hunts, including airfare for me to demonstrate the effectiveness of this truly revolutionary product.

I think you have something here. Make it in a double rifle or a "fourable" rifle and you will have some buyers here. Just do not use the name "Hein" on the rifle when you take deposits.....

Well done, although I admit I knew it was April Fools day as soon as I read the ad. When your daughters birthday is April 1st, you remember that everything is a joke (except her birthday).

If I buy an Emir membership, can I wear one of those white sheikh outfits and carry a dagger like Peter O'Toole did in Lawrence of Arabia? Cool

It'd have to be a very good commando. My current wishlist is a Brough Superior, then a vincent Black Shadow, followed by a BSA 650 RGS with the RRT2 gearbox and then a good Triton..... If it's a commando in a commando frame, we'd have to be talking a few days plains game........... however, something in a featherbed frame might be negotiable! Wink

I was concerned you might be killing and eating the animals in the zoo. I was going to offer to send back the 10,000,000,000,000 dollar Zim note to help you out.

That was an excellent joke by Saeed. You can tell that Don wrote it though, since Bedouin was misspelled, leaving the "O" out of the word. Saeed would never make that mistake, would he?

The scary thing is, imagine how many would pony up the necessary funds to keep this addiction going....

But makes me a lawbreaker. I've already contributed the maximum. Alas. Maybe I'll go to jail with the rest of the good Democrats like Murtha and Charlie Rangel?

Does the "legal fund" come under the campaign contribution category? I think you can defend yourself Judge. Cool
