John Rex. See you on the other side mate.
Greg Brownlee informed that John Rex passed away this weekend.

Sad news indeed and he was a very enthusiastic hunter and sportsman. No he was not an AR member but nevertheless a very fine individual.

We hunted together a few years back and he took a very fine Lion.

See you on the other side mate.

Andrew,

Sorry to hear your friend passed. He must have meant a lot to you, for you to have posted his photo here.

Who knows, maybe the hunting is better where he is now. I wish the best for him in his next life.

John was a great man. He was an extremely passionate hunter who's knowledge of Africa was unmatched. My heart sank when I got the call.

Thanks for posting this, he was one of the good ones.

Thoughts and prayers to a fellow hunter. Save passage to your new hunting grounds. Hope to see you there sometime.

That's very sad news. He was a thorough gentlemen to deal with. I am privileged to say that he shot his last lion through me in Burkina this year. A fine lion too. When he discovered his scope mount was broken, the guys tied up his gun with rubber tubing and after shooting it on target he was confident it would do the job and he went on to have a great safari. If you look carefully you can see the rubber tube on his rifle. He really knew his Africa inside out.

RIP John
