MacD37Well I hope everyone has a good show experience, and get to see some old friends!
I had planed to be at the show Friday through Sunday, However it is quite evident that the flue shot I took did not work very well and night before last I came down with the flue, so I figured at age 81, I better stay inside and not expose anyone else to the bug!
...............Enjoy, Wish I was there!

WesheltonjI don't know what its is, went by the AR room on Thursday and Friday, no one there, all lights out.
And some folks were complaining about Africahunting.com at least they had 150 plus at their dinner Friday night, AR had no one in a room at the convention.

lee440Well, when nobody responds to retreevers post about getting together and nobody posts about whether they are really coming or not. These gettogethers have to be planned by somebody, arrangements/reservations made with the restaraunts, but nobody wants to help out, or commit, thats what you get. We had about a dozen of us who did commit and we went to Pappadeaux's and had a nice little get together. It would have been nice to have more, but nobody else cared enough to commit. You can't reserve a table for 40 and have 12 people show up. Mike and Cherie and Joyce Beller have been organizing it for years and less and less people show up, even after saying they would, so why bother? And that is the way it is, but anyone else can step up for next year and organize it.

FrostbitJoyce and I have enjoyed meeting some AR members as we cruised through the aisles. We didn’t try and attend a specific function though.
Cheers

I was just thinking about that the other day! We need to have another Hoot-n-Shoot get together down at Houston, and get some of the old gang together in the spring.

Lhook7I wish I could have made the dinner. It was great to meet up with so many old AR friends on the convention floor. The most unfortunate thing is that I am now seeing posts from old friends I missed. I hope everyone had a great time at the show.
