Hi all, can anyone recommend a good book on all of the different plains game species mainly antelope etc
I have a trip planned and am very interested in this subject

Not a book either but you could easily make a folder tailored for your hunt by googling the name of the species you plan to hunt and printing the various pages. (Just an idea).

I have one that is a few years old and is a good one. It is entitled: "Hunting Africa, A Practical Guide" by GP Swan, PJ Botes amd PL Smit. It is a South African Publication, but it is well written with lots of information and pictures.

Yes, I seem to recall paying around $30 USD for mine! The Rand was 11 to 1 against the USD at that time. The book was highly recommended by my PH on that particular Safari.
