I need to find the cheapest fligts from USA to South Africa. Any suggestion?

I have spent a few day looking at rates. The best fares I found are flying out of JFK.

I don't believe you can buy cheaper SAA tickets elsewhere. Though if you are trying to originate in RSA that may change things.

Two years ago, when I hunted RSA, I spent hours searching on Travelocity, and several other sites, for a good buy. The absolute best price that I could find from Toronto to Jo'Burg, regardless of the route, was over $2700.00. I called my outfitter and they got me seats at $1818.18.When I asked them how they were able to get seats so much cheaper, I was told that it was because they buy blocks of tickets and get a wholesale price. That route was Toronto, to Atlanta to JoBurg.

Just purchased my tickets for July of this year thru Kathi and the best price we could get was $2098 for Atlanta-Washington DC-JoBerg.

Delta was more expensive with their direct flight from Atlanta to JoBerg, than the United from Atlanta to Washington and SAA on to JoBerg.

And Kathi got me some of those good seats in coach with more leg room than all the others.

SAA JFK or IAD to JNB all taxes etc. $1890 rnd trip . That is a high season rate.

Via the web, I just booked a flight for mid-July with Delta from Tallahasse to Atl to Joburg for 2092USD including taxes and fees. Kudude

I found a flight on the internet last night on Lufthansa from Tucson to LAX to Frankfurt to Johannesburg for $1538. I didn't book because I don't know the dates I'm going, or even if its certain I will go again this year.

Just back from USA - flew Delta from JHB to Atlanta return for ZAR 8000 / $ 1100.

Pierre Van Tonder and I flew out together - our flight was 8 hours late and the service was lousy and the 767 aircraft cramped.

Will fly SAA JHB to Dulles / Washington for next trip after the Delta experience!!
