A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

Yes, I still use the Northforks.

They were pretty hard to find for quite a while.

After this performance on a dry land hippo, which was angling sharply away as it ran, with a 400 grain 416 Cutting Edge solid, I’ll be sticking with this bullet whenever using solids. It penetrated over 4 feet, including transiting about 18” of spinal column and was found lodged in the back of the skull. I could load it and shoot it again.
