Ladies and Gentleman,

Our presence is urgently required in Zimbabwe, and we are leaving this afternoon and will return on Tuesday 26May in the morning.

We thought it good to leave a post on AR since there are a few guys that booked with us here, and I do not have time to send e-mails to all.

We put a post up on the lucky draw as well.

Cheers,

Charl,

I think we all need an explanation.

First you put up a notice asking for information on a outfit in Zimbabwe.

Next you say that you have to go there on the double.

We are all intrigued. And hope whatever made you run there has worked out for you.

Guys, Charl may be unable to read posts/email for a few days. Said operator had contacted me in the past about hunt with him and I have no prior information I can share at this time. I have emailed Charl to FYI him about your requests. Just wanted you to know I haven't heard back from him myself.
Enquiring minds want to know.........
Regards,
David

LADIES and Gentleman!

We are back safe, and had a great trip.

Saeed, Maybe we should have posted more info, but at the time we were in a hurry and did not have a lot of time to give info.

Maduna Safaris.

We were contacted by one of their directors to offer some of their hunts to our clients. This contact was made during the late evening when we were already on our way to Zim to look at hunting oppurtunities. I have not heard from the said company in the past, and just wanted some quick feedback from the forum to give us some back ground before we met the guys.

The whole thing back fired a bit for Maduna as they got over 20 calls from concerned parties as to why Infinito posted the request for ref on AR! Thus proving my point that the internet throws open the whole hunting industry, and operators can hide behind distance anymore! Our apology for the inconvenience caused was accepted and no harm was done.

We met Shlomo from Maduna for tea in Buluwayo, and had a good chat. We might even offer hunts there in a couple of months, but not to this forum as they are well represented here.

Our MAIN reason for going to Zim was to negotiate the take over off a well known outfit (NOT Maduna) and the "incorporation" of the staff and infrastructure into Infinito Safaris.

We also had the chance to each shoot a PAC elephant, but due to time constraints this did not materialise.

We furthermore inspeceted some of the seized land in Matetsi and Gwai areas and talked to the new "stake holders". It's a mess. The people are hungry, without jobs and the buildings ransacked and stripped clean. I got angry all over again....

Now they are sorry, and want "foreign investment" to help them again......

Any case. Zim is safe and lovely. If you want a good value for money DG hunt, go there. The people there need your business.

NO dark sorry stories I'm afraid! The chance at a PAC ellie made us run, nothing else was that urgent! Big Grin

Now I go and hunt.

Cheers,
