Sons girlfriend bought me an African Safari calendar for Christmas (Bless her cotton socks). It has the following disclaimer on the back-

"While we have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information in this calendar, we cannot be held liable for any errors, omissions or inconsistencies"

Sound reasonable so far....lets check it out.

Jan- Cheetah

Feb- Two Zebra

Mar- Young Chimp

Apr- Two Giraffe

May - Lion

Jun- Mob of Hippo

Jul- Impala ewe's drinking at water hole...beautiful...

Aug- Lioness with cub...Awwww

Sept- Two Orangutan

Oct- Two Rhino

Nov- Bunch of Meerkats

Dec- Mob of Elephant

Anyone spot an "Inconsistency"?

According to Sept. the disclaimer was a good idea.

I see this kinda of stuff several times a year. It always amazes me.

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

Most people still refer to Africa as a country and believe that the US has 57 states, so...

My favorite is the video they play at the Arusha airport that has a jaguar killing a caiman.

Native animal life video....

Gotta love it.

There is an English lady here in Dubai who just hates hunters, and as you can imagine, we get at each other's throats every time we meet.

Met her at the supermarket once, with two of her friends from the UK>

I said good morning when I saw them.

"Good morning Saeed" and turning to her friends "Saeed loves to kill animals. I understand you have been to Africa again on a killing spree again. How many tigers did you kill this time?"

"Laat time I looked, there are no tigers in Africa. They live in India, which is another continent. But, I don't expect an ignorant idiot to know the difference"

Must be made in china.. Orangutans in Africa?? Maybe in a zoo or private collection.

I didn't know elephants hung out in mobs. Isn't that what kangaroos do?
