From what I understand this anti hunting blog has over a million views. They go into detail about the different awards that SCI gives out for various trophy kills.
What scares me is how this sounds to someone that is not a hunter but sits on the fence when it comes to hunters rights.
We have to get more organized and stand up for hunting or we are not going to be able to hunt in Zimbabwe or North America.
I am going to start calling members of the Congressional Sportsmen Caucus to lobby for harsher regulations for harassing hunters.
If this madness in the media continues our National Parks here in North America will be next to close hunting.

National Parks are closed to hunting, so I guess you mean US National Forests.

Second mention I have seen now of anti's attacking via the SCI Awards Program.

Sir, indeed I am 100% agree, must act now for the sake of hunting community, else, millions people around African Continent may lose jobs, businesses, local community care programs and worse thing is uncontrolled poaching.

Stand up today, tomorrow will never come.

SCI has been far too busy congratulating each other for belonging to one silly circle or another to do anything useful for us.

Don't bold your breath for anything useful coming from that organization!

Consider the source,

Profe$$ional agitator, Capt. Paul Watson.

There is another discussion about the "Capt." on this very forum. Here--> http://forums.accuratereloadin...1411043/m/9441000312

Agreed. Anytime we make hunting into a competition for bigger and better, we have lost the battle.

It will be the legal announcement about how they plan on suing to get hunting rights back.

SCI is like a super tanker in the middle of the ocean. Takes a long time to react to a change in direction order.

This is a HUGE problem. SCI needs to develop a rapid response team to deal with issues. By the time any response is mounted the damage is done. In this case, it is huge and it cannot be undone.

Which conservation/pro hunting organizations do you like?

I will always support the NRA. Think about it this way. If our nation was to ban hunting then they could use this as a reason to support restrictions on the Second Amendment. Why would we need guns if it is illegal to hunt? We all know that criminals will always have guns.

I give to DU even though they are not a hunting organization. Their man focus is habitat which increases conservation. I also like the fact that they only give out awards for people who spend time and money to ensure conservation. They do not give out awards for a person that killed all of a certain species. For instance there is no Teal Grand Slam!

I want to support organizations that lobby specifically for the rights of hunters as well as conservation.

Should we be more engaged with organizations like PHASA. What are your thoughts?
