RIP... and 68 pounds for the broken tusk ...
Always have enjoyed that show.
Tony is good at feeding some details to gunnuts too, on all the various rifles he drags out from time to time.
When Tony doubled a 600 Nitro has got to be a highpoint of show history.
This elephant is another.
Tony has not jumped the shark yet. I'll keep watching, "Under Wild Skies" ... even has a great title for the show.

DCS MemberAnd I think it may have even been a .375! Although, those horrible guns can change calibers quickly... Yes, the double of the .600 was classic and showed how humble he is.

376 steyrI like Tony. Walked right by him last January at his booth but had other things urgent to do but will say hi to him this year.

Paul ReedCongratulations to Tony. He hunts hard, does a good show and it is nice to see him with a special elephant. My son and I talked to him for about 15 minutes at the NRA meeting in 2011 and he was friendly, personable and likeable.

I recommend it. He's a nice guy, and extremely knowledgeable about all things related to guns.

jorgeFortunately, the over-engineered, Rhube-Goldberg emeritus bolt decided to work this time. Last week he gooned up a shot on a buffalo due to that bolt....

Tim FerrallCongrats to Tony, he puts out a quality show and works very hard for his trophies. His obvious affection for his wife is also refreshing to see. BTW, the opening segment is a Teddy Roosevelt quote, and the magnificent, sonorous voice is Charleton Heston. They don't make them like that anymore.

degoinsWhen Tony doubled a 600 Nitro has got to be a highpoint of show history.
As good as that one was, my favorite was the one with Ross Seyfried where the croc flipped the mocoro over......WOW!!!!

Another highpoint in show history for sure!!!
IIRC, it was not a full tip-over of the mocoro,
but Ross was standing upright with rifle shouldered when the croc hit the mocoro,
and rather than fall over sideways,
he hopped out upright,
sunk to waist-deep,
kept rifle above water,
and hopped right back into the mocoro like lightning!!!
Ross Seyfried was quick, not dead.

And was he using a Gibbs 461 No.2, Farquharson single shot, the old favorite of Selous?
IIRC ...
Yep, that was a great show too.

13 September 2012, 00:37
degoinsYeah and one of the young PHs running/swimming like crazy!!!!!
Actually that entire season was my favorite. IIRC Tony brought along an 8 bore double on that trip. Ross had an old Gibbs single shot along. I wish I could get that season on DVD. I always appreciated that Tony featured some cool old guns on the show. Another thing I liked is that he never edited out his misses.
