Now, if we were to hunt him, what caliber would be best? Due to his age and condition, maybe a .14&1/4 on the .416 Rigby case for accuracy, flat trajectory and to save the hide (although from looking at it, it might not be worth saving). That needs to be culled for sure, obviously a UAC (Ugly Animal Control) lion... No way is he a canned/caged cat, but I agree with the above post and would not disregard the possibility that he has been drugged, perhaps since the 80's. Let him feed first then shoot him, so he weighs more. | |||
