I hunted buffalo until I was about 79 years old, got to where I couldn't get around so good, but I been thinking maybe one more bull is in the thinking stage, if I wasn't having so much fun roping Id go tomarrow..

In your case I would go for gold and do a tented camp hunt in tanzanias Selous..They can be had if you shop for 7 days at about the same rate as a 5 day in Zim or RSA..The tented hunt is the ultimate available today..Has all the bells and whistles as a lodge except the walls are thinner! tu2

The client before me died the night after leaving camp in a hotel in town.

Was a pain in the ass for everyone, but he had a hell of a good time.

His wife had died about 10 years prior to him, and he had never left North America until that safari. He had another safari the following weeks in South Africa, but died in a hotel in Aroab waiting for the transfer.

He died with his boots on.

My wife's grandfather died at 98, he was a WWII vet, and had never been to Australia. He died a couple of weeks after we got to Australia, he told me he was getting ready to buy tickets to come visit us.

I always felt like we dodged a bullet on that one.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
