Andrew,

Obviously even to the untrained eye a superb sable. Nice vundu also and a happy fisherman.

Must be horrible for that poor Sable having to carry that weight around on his head. Someone should put him out of his misery.

Truly magnifisent! Now Andrew, we are not going to believe it died of old age or suddenly became a problem animal, charging the locals when that set of horns are going to be lying around your house in the near future!
Bwanamich has a point mate...but still a nice fish! Congratulations.

Andrew,
Do y'all eat those catfish? Here in Tx they are a staple (for some at least) have heard the Vundu is not very tasty. Opinion?

Quite right Lane these are catfish and not Vundu. We do eat them and they are excellent. Here me and my son Ryan are preparing them for dinner. Foil and salt is all you need.

what's the difference between a catfish and a vundhu?? the long dorsal and pectoral fins don't look like what we considered a catfish. and i DO love catfish. BTW, NICE SABLE! jumping

Note the breached pectoral fins on this Vundu. The fin on our catfish is singular.
