I may have missed it, but where do these animals come from, where are they going, and are they just for meat?

The animals are being captured in National Parks and donated to certain "rising" farmers whom the govt has determined are more deserving than others, in an attempt to "transform" and "remodel" the game farming sector of the economy, which according to the govt is in need of "transformation". Over here, we call it "redistribution".

The intent is that the animals will be hunted by paying hunters.
