Ladies and Gentlemen,

In about 24 hours we hope to be in Dar, getting ready to fly to our camp in the Selous.

Alan, Roy and Rene are already there.

Walter is out doing what he does best - last minute shopping!

Our Thuraya IP sat modem was checked yesterday and it worked fine, so we are all set to give you live reports from the camp.

This model is really great, as it has wireless output, and everyone who has a computer - or ipad - can connect at the same time. Makes life so much easier than before when we had to take turns on the Internet.

I hope to post my first report day after tomorrow.

Go get them Saeed!

Please be sure to document all of Walter's antics for posterity!
Future generations need to see him in action....!

I look forward to your reports!

Good Shooting!

Hessa has just turned 9. And she keeps asking when she can come along.

She is looking forward to outshooting Walter!

Saeed: We all look forward to your detailed reports and your outstanding photography -- and Walter's misadventures. You guys all seem to have so darned much fun.
Hope your hunt goes without a hitch, and that you don't need any sudden second or thirds on the buffalo, such as would get you in trouble with Will if you were shooting a single shot!

Walter is upset, because he has to travel with me, instead of in Emirates limo.

"Where is my ticket? I need the number on it to book our limo from Emirates"

"I am picking you and Nelson at 7 myself"
"I don't want to go with you. I called Emirates, and they said they will be happy to send us a limo. We want to go in a limo. Not in your pickup truck"

"Tough luck mate. I am picking you up at 7. If you are not ready, you stay home"

"This is really bad! We pay for First Class tickets, and don't get the free limo ride. We get taken in an old pickup truck. I don't like it"

"How many times have you been on safari now? Hasn't got into your head yet that once you get in the plane, you have absolutely no friends any more. Roy has plans for you. Alan has plans for you too. I am looking forward to them giving you what you deserve"

"I might change my mind and not gö then"

"Great! That is what we all want"

Saeed, first, Walter wants to take his Blaser, and you say no.

Then, he wants to take advantage of free limo service, and again you say no.

Walter is being perfectly reasonable.

It's hard to understand why he subjects himself to these trips! Big Grin

Best of luck to all of you. tu2

Getting into the spirit of safari.

I am sitting here having a hard boiled egg, and a cup of coffee, just like when getting ready in the camp.

We are in Emirates First Class lounge.
Walter has gone down to buy a raffle ticket for a car and a million dollars.

Would you believe it, a few years ago he actually won a BMW Series 8 car.

He wants to repeat that feat again.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
